The Order of Merit for Science and Art in the 3rd form was established by Duke Frederick II. established by decree of August 19, 1912. The occasion was the 56th birthday of the duke. The order, previously awarded in one class, has now become a thirty-year class. Shown here is 1. The class is larger than the 2nd form of 1905 and worked broken. It was worn around the neck on a wide ribbon. In particular, only 4 hitchhikers' awards have been confirmed. Awarding foreign citizens is unknown, but possible. 2nd class corresponds to the 2nd form of 1905. The tape has changed. The introduced 3rd grade with the same design was made of silver. The production of all classes of the order was carried out by J. Godet & Sohn in Berlin. Delivery was carried out by the Hofjuwelier company of the widow of Otto Heinzelmann in Dessau.
