German Awards - 1911 Silver Wedding Medal
This medal was established by King William II on the occasion of the celebration of his silver wedding on April 8, 1911.
This medal was received by all guests present at the celebrations.
The front side of the medal was cut according to the project of Professor Ludwig Khabich. The medal stamps were carved at the Wilhelm Mayer and Franz Wilhelm Institute for Coinage in Stuttgart. In total, in 2020, the medals were made at the Royal Mint in Stuttgart.
Round silver medal with raised border. Above is a quadrangular ear. Due to this, an elongated, flat support ring. (Here with a small ring and a ring of tape)
Front side:
- On the entire front side, portraits facing right in a row:
- In the foreground of King William, Queen Charlotte is half hidden behind him.
- Between the neck section and Wilhelm's beard is small - L H - as a monogram.
