The Security Service Award was established on February 10, 1906 by Prince Regent Luitpold in 2nd grade. 1st class was awarded after 35 years of satisfactory service, and 2nd class after 20 years of service. Persons of the gendarmerie or royal guard in Munich had the right to receive. The cross of the 1st class differs, in addition to indicating the years on the reverse, 4 green enameled laurel branches (3 leaves with 2 berries) between the cross sleeves. The service award was presented by the command of the corps of the royal gendarmerie or the presidium of the royal Upper Bavarian government. The reward was subject to return upon receipt of a higher level, as well as after the death of the borrowed. A notable manufacturer was Weiss & Cie. from Munich. Source: J. Golden tinted bronze cross. The ends of the crosspiece are rounded and have a small knocked-out ball in the center. On the upper cruciform shoulder on the ball there is an elongated eye with a ribbon ring. Between the cross sleeves there are 3 dark green enameled bay leaves with 2 berries on the left and right on the medallion. Front and back panels with soldered round middle shields (15 mm). In the ring, the punch manufacturer is Wco - Weiss & co.
