The medal was established on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the reign of July 17, 1905, Prince Karl Gunther. Numerous citizens in senior positions and government and yard employees, respectively, were awarded. Among them were deputies of the Landtag, burgomasters and local elders, firemasters of fire departments, station chiefs, chairmen of trade, craft and agricultural chambers, officers and non-commissioned officers of the 3rd Thuringian Infantry Regiment No. 71, as well as citizens who had the title of adviser, to name a few.
The medal was awarded a diploma. The author of the project is Landrat Blödau from Arnstadt. The medals were made by goldsmith Schlegelmilch in Arnstadt. The Stämpelschneider was Paul Fliegner of Hanau.
The medal was not refundable. The circulation is about 1680 pieces.
Rimless round silver medal. Above is a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
