The 2nd class of the Badge of Honor of the Order of Heinrich Leo was established on the birthday of Duke William, April 25, 1908 by regent Johann Albrecht, Duke of Mecklenburg. The badge of honor, affiliated since 1903 by Prince Albrecht of Prussia, has now become two-class. The 2nd grade in the Golden Bronze without special orders was granted in advance to foreigners, that is, not Braunschweigians. The medal shown here is made of gilded silver. These medals were also previously assigned to the 1st class. This assessment today is questioned and rather assigned to the 2nd grade. The circulation of the second class is 796 copies. 1st class was awarded 1804 times. Gold medals have never been awarded. The gold-plated medal shown here is a private rather than an official amendment. The badge of honor was not refundable and continued to be worn when awarded the Order of a higher class .
Round medal with a raised border of gold bronze (here gilded silver). Above is a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
