Awards of Germany - Oldenburg House and Order of Merit Breast Star to the Big Cross (in silver)
The breast star depicted here was awarded along with the Order of the Great Cross (in silver). As on the Great Cross, all parts are made of silver. The division of the Grand Cross took place on January 17, 1841 by the Grand Duke Paul Friedrich Augustus by supplementing the statutes in § 2. From 1912, the Grand Cross could be worn by officers in a top skirt and collar. Grand Duke Paul Friedrich Augustus established the Order of the House and Merit on November 27, 1838. He should have remembered his father's 25-year return. The motto of the Order is "One God is one right, one truth." The order consisted of 4 classes for honorary cavaliers and 4 classes for captains: a large cross, a large comture, a comture and a small cross (from 1860 knightly crosses). Attached to the order is a common badge of honor in 3 classes: gold, silver and iron. In 1856, for merits in the war, this award was expanded with 2 swords passing through the center. With a higher talent in peacetime, they were added to the ring. To the Common Badge of Honor 1. The class was awarded a gold crown. In 1883, the General Badge of Honor was renamed the Cross of Honor. In 1903, the Officers' Cross was established between Komtur and Knight's Cross 1. The class stands. Knight's Crosses 2nd Class were split in 1906. Knight's Crosses 2. Class without crown. The last expansion was the Laurel Fund for sword crosses in 1918. A large cross (silver) with a breast star was awarded 589 times. Returned large crosses from deceased porters were re-awarded. Silver breast star with false, large silver and enameled, round medallion. The stellar body consists of 8 main rays. Between the main beams, respectively, 6 intermediate beams are graduated in the center. The rays are framed by a corrugated border. The reverse is smooth and silver with a vertical pin with a mating hook. On the underside of the needle is the manufacturer's inscription .
Front side:
- A round middle medallion outside and inside with an enlarged curved silver border.
- Between the edges is a red, translucent enameled ring of font with a bandage.
- On it is a silver inscription: - ONE - GOD - ONE - RIGHT - ONE - TRUTH -.
- Closed field with enameled blue translucent substrate, placer.
- Place a silver, embellished and tangled cipher - PFL - with a crown above it.
Downside:
