By decree of the new charter, King Anton on December 23, 1829 changed the former medal "For Military Merit" to the medal of the military order of St. Heyrich and awarded it a medal of the 5th class. Under King Frederick Augustus II. Medals were newly minted. The Stämpelschneider was Friedrich Ulbricht. Medals now had raised lugs and were smaller. The medals were gold, bronze gilt and silver. They came to the award only in the campaigns of 1848/49, 1864, 1870/71 and 1914/18.
Medals of 1866 were minted in Vienna and had modified stamps as the only version. In addition to some deviations, the name was embossed under the neck - ROTHE - and the medals had a large ball eye. In other campaigns, the same medal was always awarded. In 1916, the brand was renewed. The print is so good that the differences are barely noticeable. Among rewardings the following is known: 1849 13xSilver, 1866 16xGold and 261xSilver, 1871 77xGold and 1108xSilver and till 1917 97xGold, 53xBronze gilded and 8299xSilver.
