Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Strelitz instituted this medal on 17 June 1906. The occasion was the 25th anniversary of the Mecklenburg-Strelitz Partnership of Warriors. The medal was awarded to members of the warrior partnership for outstanding services and merits in the field of warrior unification. For violation of official duty and dishonorable acts, the medal could also be deprived. After death, the medal was not refundable. The Mecklenburg-Strelitz Warrior Partnership consisted of 21 unions with 3219 members in Kiefhauserbund. Peter Om-Hieronimussen lists 138 awards in his book from 1906 to 1918. That's about 4.3% of the membership. The presentation included a certificate of ownership or a deed of gift. The medal could be worn on the left side of the chest. There are deviations in determining the weight. The medal shown weighs 8.53 g with a thickness of 1.2 mm. The book lists a weight of 13 g. Regardless of whether the various embossments were in various strengths or if the indication occurred with the ribbon, it should remain open. The medal is very rare.
