Awards of Germany - Princely House Order of Hohenzollern Honorary Cross 3. Class with crown and swords
The honorary cross of the 3rd class with a crown was awarded after the expansion of the princely order of the House by Prince Wilhelm since 1910. In addition to the crown, a gold and silver merit cross were also presented for the 3rd class cross of honour. The 3rd class with the crown was awarded to lieutenant colonels, as well as senior captains who already had the honorary cross of the 3rd class. Only the crown was granted to the cross. In World War I, the 3rd class with a crown (and swords) was awarded to majors and equivalent officials.
The princely order of Hohenzollern was founded jointly by princes Konstantin Hohenzollern Hechingen and Karl Anton Hohenzollern Sigmaringen on December 5, 1841. The order initially consisted of 4 classes, an honorary cross of the 1st degree. class, 2 classes, as well as a gold medal of honor and a silver medal "For Merit." In 1844, the honorary cross of the 3rd class was added. In 1866, swords were established for military merit. In 1891 he was awarded the Cross of Honor. After World War I, the orders of the Hohenzollern house continued to be awarded until 1935. In agreement with King Carol II. from Romania (cousin of Prince Frederick), the princely order of the House also became the Order of the House of the Kingdom of Romania and could be awarded again. Silver cross. The cruciform shoulders are finely ornamented without enamel. Lying inside on cruciform arms at a distance from the edge is a wide, black enameled strip with silver edges. Crosspiece ends are rounded outwards. Front and back with round middle shields worn. Between the cross sleeves around the circumference is a green enameled and silver burgundy wreath of right oak foliage and left laurel foliage. (Front side) 2 crossed gilded swords with Roman paired poles pass through the center. On the upper cruciform shoulder is a soldered ordinary ear. In them, a 5-arc crown was connected through an internal hinge. Feeding the crown red enameled. A ribbon ring passes through the imperial crown apple.
Front side:
- Central gilded shield with a wide blue enameled ring, golden-toothed.
- It has a golden inscription: - FOR - LOYALTY - AND - MERIT -.
- Below in the center are tied 2 green laurel branches (3 leaves).
In - a surrounded, enameled field, a white curved golden coat of arms.
- This is a diagonal of 1/4 black and white enamel. Above it, the princely crown 1/2 was fed red.
Downside:

- Below in the center are tied 2 green laurel branches (3 leaves).

- A golden princely crown floated freely above it.
