This was preceded by the permission of King William II. which on February 23 also confirmed the contribution of the fund. The honorary komtur henceforth occupies a place between the honorary cross of the 1st and 2nd classes. The award of an honorary komtur was associated with the position of major general or senior colonel or a similar position. The chest star presented here to the honorary comture was added to the honorary comture only in 1932 by Prince Frederick.
