The princely house order of Hohenzollern was established jointly by princes Friedrich Wilhelm Konstantin of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Initially, the order consisted of 4 classes of the Honorary Cross 1. class, 2 classes, as well as a gold medal of honor and a silver medal "For Merit." On December 7, 1849, the principalities were merged with the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1852, the order was reorganized and on February 16, 1852 statutes were issued. It has existed separately and sovereign since 1851 alongside the Royal Household Order of the Hohenzollern Kingdom of Prussia. Cross of Honor 1 shown here. The class was now made in the form of a cross. The Order of the House now consisted of 5 classes: 1st - 3rd class of the Honorary Cross, as well as a gold medal of Honor and a silver medal "For Merit." Until 1859, Hossauer was the sole manufacturer of all classes of the order. Sy and Wagner took over the business and manufacturing. Until 1887, they were the sole supplier of the order. Various additions were made in subsequent years. In 1866, swords were established for military merit. In 1891, the honorary Komtursky Cross was attached to it, in 1910 - the Golden and Silver Cross for Merit. In 1941, the crown was established. Classification: Cross of Great Honor, Cross of Honor 1st class, Cross of Honor, Cross of Honor 2nd class, Cross of Honor 3rd class, Golden Cross of Merit, Silver Cross of Merit, Gold Medal of Honor, Silver Medal of Merit. The silver cork cross is partially gilded. The crosses of the front side are silver border and enameled white. Lying inside at a distance from the edge is a wide, golden-toothed, black enameled strip. Crosspiece ends are rounded outwards. Front side with gold, false, round medallion. Between the cross sleeves around the circumference is a green enameled and golden burgundy wreath of right oak foliage and left laurel foliage. The back is smooth and silvery with a perpendicular pin. In the center, the manufacturer's designation deepens.
