German Awards - 1909 Fire Department Badge of Honor

The order was established on July 19, 1909 by the Duke Karl Edward of Saxony from Coburg and Gotha. The award in the form of shavings was received by firefighters for especially outstanding services in extinguishing fires or for at least 25 years of faithful and conscientious service in the fire department. The award for special merits in the field of fire extinguishing in general was also considered. Funds allocated primarily to the country's firefighters can also be provided to foreign defenders with appropriate assistance and support. The manufacture of braces was engaged in L.R. Rectangular, silver layer. The edge is raised and covered (similar to a photo frame). The laid fire symbols and the central coat of arms with a crown are gilded. Behind riveted counter-slab with riveted pin with plates. The needle plate bears the manufacturer's inscription. The screed is applied to a sheet covered with tape.

Front side:

In the
• center is a golden Saxon coat of arms crowned with a crown.
• The top of the coat of arms and the crown rise above the edge of the buckle.
• A diamond-shaped crown slightly curved above the coat of arms. The transverse stripes are smooth and point.
• To the left of the coat of arms in a recessed field is a golden image of a hose, rope and spray nozzle.
• To the right of the coat of arms is a golden fire helmet with firemen's axes crossed under it.

Downside:

• In the corners there is a visible scanty rivet.
• On the needle plate, the manufacturer's designation:
