This commemorative medal was established on July 19, 1930 by the former Duke Karl Edward of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The occasion was the 25th anniversary of the duke's rise to power. The medal was awarded to persons close to the duke and his house, as well as to participants in the anniversary celebration.
The medal was made by the court jeweler V. Ganssen in Coburg. For the award, a letter was signed, signed by the former court chief of the duke, retired chief stalmeister. from Shaq.
Duke Karl Edward in 19.7.1905, on the day of his 21st birthday, took control of the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Already on 11.10, he was married to Princess Victoria Adelheid von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg. In addition to the title of Duke in Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, he was also Duke of Albany, a member of the English House of Lords, Prince of Great Britain and Ireland. After World War I, on November 13, 1918, he announced his resignation. In 1919, George V stripped him of his British titles. Since 1919 he was engaged in national legal activities. He provided perfect and material support to Freikor Erhardt and early sympathized with the National Socialists. In 1933 he joined the NSDAP and SA. Until the end of World War II, he worked in many positions, such as the NSFK, NSKK, etc. After 1945, he was sentenced to monetary compensation as a fellow traveler. On March 6, 1954, he died of cancer. The son of his eldest daughter, Princess Sibylla, wife of Gustav Adolf of Sweden, is Karl XVI. Gustav, King of Sweden since 1973. Source: J.
