The memorial cross for many years of service to the maids was established on April 17, 1894 by Duke Frederick I in two classes. Duchess Antoinette's 56th birthday. Female Anhalt handmaids were awarded, who, with impeccable moral guidance, continuously served the same family. For 1st class, a prerequisite was 40 years, and for 2nd class - 25 years of service. The 1st class was a gilded cross, and the 2nd class, with the same design, was a silver cross. The first form of the cross has an engraved, crowned letter - A - on the reverse side. The cross of the 2nd form depicted here has a smooth reverse side without the initial of the Duchess Antoinette. The 2nd form has been assigned since 1906. After the death of Frederick I, the requests were nevertheless approved by the Duchess Mother Antoinette. After Frederick II took office. On January 24, 1904, the award was transferred in 1906 to his wife, Marie, nee Princess of Baden. Since that time, the initial - A - was no longer applied to the cross. The presentation was attended by a document signed by the Duchess Mary. After the death of the duke on April 21, 1918, the duchess continued to award crosses until the end of the monarchy. By 1918, only 17 crosses had become 1st. The class is assigned. The second class became the second. The form is given only 36 times.
