German Awards - Badge of Honor for the merits of a woman in the war of 1915
This badge of honor was established on the occasion of the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Saxe-Weimar Women's Union.
He was awarded for services in military affairs and for special dedication and outstanding achievements.
The award was intended to be made of silver, but due to material shortages during the war, it was made of tin.
The author of the project is Professor Römer from Munich.
Oval medal without a rim of matte silver-plated tin. Above is a relief relief transverse eye. This results in an upwardly elongated flared band ring.
Front side:
In the - center are paintings of two grand duchesses, facing right:
- Theodora (headman) and Maria Pavlovna (wife of Grand Duke Karl Friedrich and founder)
- Country Women's Club in 1815. On the margins there is an inscription:
- Top: - THEODORA - MCMXV - MARIA - PAVLOVNA - MDCCCXV
- - Bottom: - GRAND DUCHESSES - v. - SAXONY -
Downside:
In the - center, under the floating crown, the letters - E - W - F - are intertwined.
