King Friedrich Wilhelm III. established service awards for officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the victory of the Belle Alliance on June 18, 1825. The officers received the cross during their 25 years of loyal service in the standing army. Initially, only combatants were awarded. Rear services, officials, etc. are not yet provided for awarding. The war years were doubly numbered. This award has been presented for almost 100 years, and the circle of recipients has been repeatedly adjusted and expanded. Lothar Tewes in the 2000 OMM Annual identifies 6 forms of service awards depending on the period of production. Shown here 2. The form was assigned from 1826 to approx. 1845. The difference from the 1st form is mainly a transverse, ordinary eye with a ribbon ring. This form is found with and without the Hossauer manufacturer's punch. Punches meet on the lower cruciform shoulder or medallion cylinder. Krona is still in small shape. The crosses are slightly larger and have a slightly larger Roman numeral on the back. Production continued only by Hossauer in Berlin. Crosses 1st and 2nd. Forms are extremely rare and desirable.
