King Frederick William III. Established on June 18, 1825 service awards for officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers. The officers received the cross during their 25 years of loyal service in the standing army. Initially, only combatants were awarded. Rear services, officials, etc. are not yet provided for awarding. This award has been presented for almost 100 years, and the circle of recipients has been repeatedly adjusted and expanded. Lothar Tewes in the 2000 OMM Annual identifies 6 forms of service awards depending on the period of production. The 4th Tuze form is shown here. He, like the 3rd form, has very finely granular cruciform arms and smooth raised edges of cruciform arms. Another difference from the first two forms is a large crown with a wide hoop in the medallion. Differences from the 3rd form (1846-1855) - the left line on - W - and 2 additional jumpers on the right in the letter - W -. These crosses meet the Hossauer and S&W factory marks for Sy and Wagner in a medallion cylinder. Crosses without manufacturers are from other Berlin manufacturers. Service awards are slightly larger and galvanically gilded. 5, classified by Tevez. The form (1875-1894) only slightly differs from the 4th form by a slightly coarser grain of the cruciform arms and slight differences in the medallion. For example, the stroke at the point - F - is still long and near the point. The ear is slightly more powerful, and the ribbon ring is larger.
