The medal was established on 1 June 1889 to mark the 25th anniversary of the reign of King Charles on 25 June 1889. This medal was received by invited guests, yard and state officials on duty, officers and yard employees. Bronze medals were awarded to lower-ranking civilians and military personnel, starting with sergeant major. Bronze medals were minted in the amount of about 4,000 pieces, but not all of them were awarded. Gold medals were intended only for the invited nobility and were awarded in very small quantities (63 medals were minted). The silver medal was intended for senior officials, officers and other guests of the same class. Jubilee medals were minted at the Royal Mint in Stuttgart. The stamp was made by medalist Karl Schwenzer at the Royal Württemberg Mint in Stuttgart.
Round medal made of light bronze with a raised border. On the edge inside is a thin pearl cord at the front and back. Above is a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
