German Awards - Order of Albrecht - Silver Medal
The medal of the Order of Albrecht was established on March 20, 1861 by King Johann. He was awarded gold and silver only between 1861 and 1876. The medals are subordinate to the Order of Albrecht, established in 1850, and make up the 6th class. This award was to be returned upon death or upon conferring a higher class. The author of the project is Ernst Wilhelm Ulbricht. Due to the return requirement and the small number of awards, silver 776 and 251 in gold, medals are very rare and expensive.
