The badge of honor of the Prussian National Fire Union was established on May 25, 1922. On July 16, 1922, the project was submitted for consideration. The Badge of Honor was awarded for 25 and 40 years of faithful service. At the same time, only active years of service were taken into account. The award for 25 years was silver plated, shown here for 40 years gilded. The fire badge of honor was presented for issuance in 2 forms. The 1st form was still solid and had crossed axes or axes under the helmet. The fire helmet has an older shape. Shown here 2. The mold is better and made of 3 parts. The newer fire helmet has an axe and axe crossed behind it. The exact time of the model change is unknown. The second form is believed to have been introduced from 1930 to 1934. Proof of this is the image of the badge of honor on the documents. As a manufacturer of honorary signs, Deimer from Ludenscheid is known. Due to the length of service, the gilded badge of honor for 40 years is much less common.
