An honorary cross in gold without indicating the year of the Anhalt Land Union of the Red Cross, probably 1st class. Honorary signs of the land union for 40, 25 and 10 years of well-deserved activity were established in 1921. On them, below on an oak wreath, the corresponding number is applied. It can be assumed that honorary crosses without a year were also issued for merits. (Similar to the Prussian Land Union), the 1st class without a wreath number was awarded for outstanding services in the Angolan Land Union of the Red Cross and around it. They also included sponsors who supported the Association with monetary donations, etc., or in their official position. On May 4, 1932, the main union of the Anhalt Land Union decided to establish additional honorary badges for services to and in the land union. 3 classes were created. 1st class was worn as a neck cross. The 2nd class was a knotted cross with an oak-leafy wreath, and the 3rd class was worn on a ribbon. The manufacturer of honorary signs is the court engraver Alexander Vollram from Dessau. From 1932, production was probably taken over by Gode, Berlin. With the unification of the clubs by the National Socialists in 1934, the award was discontinued. Due to the very short lease term, all classes are very rare. Source: Manfred Schemeit "Badge of Honor of the German Red Cross 1866 - Present."
