This intolerable medal or plaque was donated by the NSFK, the National Socialist Aviation Corps. The exact time is unknown to me. This honorary gift was probably awarded to honored members and patrons. As the exact NSFK Storm is listed on the medal, such honorary gifts were given locally. This medal is from Storm 4 (Berlin). Local groups 3, 4 and 5 were based in Berlin. The leader of the group was Zauke. The airfield was near Werder.
The National Socialist Aviation Corps (NSFK) was created by decree of the Führer on April 17, 1937. NSFK is considered the successor of DLV e. V. German Air Sports Union and was a public law body and reported directly to the Imperial Minister of Aviation Hermann Goering. Funds were taken from the budget of the Imperial Air Ministry, and all objects and buildings were the property of the Reich. As a paramilitary organization, the NSFC was responsible for the training and advanced training of pilots. It was registered by military registration and enlistment offices and, depending on qualifications, was intended for admission to the Luftwaffe. Air Force General Friedrich Christiansen was appointed commander of the corps, and since 1943, Colonel General Alfred Keller. The print organ was "Deutsche Luftwacht ', a magazine for all areas of NSFK. NSFC members and sponsors received the magazine for free. There were published articles about individual groups and urban competitions.
Among other things, you can find lists of participants and aircraft used, excellent members.
