The sign shown here was introduced after the seizure of power by the National Socialists and the subsequent unification of clubs and associations, and with them the Steel Helmet, the Union of Front-Line Soldiers in March 1934. The new name was then National Socialist-German-Front-Fighter-Bund-Stahlhelm (N.S.D.F.B.St.). Already on November 7, 1935, this successor organization was also dissolved.
After already in 1933 the leadership of Steel Helmet announced that Steel Helmet and its sub-organizations were subordinate to Fuhrer Adolf Hitler, reorganization/unification began. Members under 35 reported to the SA as "Wehrstahlhelm 'from July. Members 36 to 45 became "SA Reserve 1" and members over 45 became "SA Reserve 2." The remaining members formed the N.S.D.F.B.St in 1934. Due to the short period of existence and the small number of members who were not accepted into the SA, the badge is quite rare.
Openwork, embossed, silver plated badge. At the back is a simple soldered pin.
