King William II. August 11, 1892 established a gold medal for services to the Order of Frederick. At the same time, the classification of medals for merit was changed. The existing gold medal for civil merit remained associated with the Order of the Württemberg Crown and bears the designation Medal for Merit of the Order of the Crown. It is worn on the ribbon of the Knight's Cross of the Order. The newly established Medal of Merit of the Order of Frederick is worn on the ribbon of the Knight's Cross of the Order of Frederick. The existing Civil Merit Silver Medal no longer belongs to the Württemberg Crown Order and bears the name Silver Merit Medal. It is worn on another ribbon (light red with a wide, black middle stripe). The new volume could be ordered from the secretariat of the order.
The stamp was also carved by medalist Karl Schwenzer on the main Stuttgart coin. In the last years of the war, medals were awarded, gilded with silver, and gilded metal of wartime.
