The silver medal for the Order of Leopold with swords shown here was not donated and was not officially awarded. The entire Order of Leopold was never awarded as a sword decoration. In addition to the silver medal, there were also gold and bronze medals with swords. Only one consignment was delivered by Karl Busch on 30 September 1914 to the Lippische Hofmarschallamt. 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals with swords were awarded. On October 10, 1914, another 6 bronze medals were awarded. How this happened is unknown. Whether the award of swords was planned during the First World War, and then again rejected, is not specified. Another possibility is that we are talking about trial copies of Carl Büsch, which were sent for review and possible approval of the order. The medal was established on February 29, 1908 by Prince Leopold IV. donated. Until 1910, only silver and bronze medals were awarded. The gold medal was established on May 30 of the year. Although there was no reason, the medal is among the awards and is extremely rare.
