A commemorative military coin for 1815 was issued on October 30, 1815 by King Frederick William III. donated.
This award was presented to those fighters who participated in the liberation war against Napoleon and did not receive a commemorative coin for 1813, 1814. This award was presented to those fighters who really fought in the war of liberation against Napoleon. Conscientious service was a prerequisite, not crime or excess during hostilities. The guilty soldiers and suicides were deprived of a military commemorative coin and confiscated. After the death of the bearer, the medals were to be transferred to the responsible church match and lists of names were drawn up. In addition to the Iron Cross, which was awarded to individual fighters for their merits in battle, Frederick William III wanted to establish a memorial sign for everyone else who helped fight the invaders. The military commemorative coin of 1815 is known only with sharp edges of cruciform hands (the so-called Berlin production).
