This commemorative cross was established by the Highest Decree on 31 October 1898 by King and Emperor William II. donated. The reason was the opening of the German Evangelical Church of the Savior in Jerusalem. For this reason, the emperor took a trip to Palestine and Jerusalem. All persons who accompanied him on the trip to consecrate the church were awarded or honored.
Cross in the form of a Jerusalem cross made of gilded silver. The cross consists of a large crutch cross, at the corners of which there are 4 more small crutch crosses. The crutch crosses have a gold border and are filled with red glass enamel. Front and back with a raised, golden round central shield. On the upper cruciform shoulder of a large crutch cross is a curved bearing graph through which a ribbon ring passes.
