Germany Awards - Order of Vigilance/From the White Falcon Knight's Cross 1st Class with Swords
The Order of Vigilance and the House of the White Falcon (full name) was established by Duke Ernst Augustus back in 1732. It originally consisted of 3 classes of Grand Cross, Commander and Knight. In the early years of the order, there were almost no carriers left. The order was renewed by Grand Duke Charles Augustus on 18 October 1815. On February 18, 1840, a knight of the 2nd class and a cross for merit in the 2nd class were added. Initially, the award was for civil merit. For military merits in 1870 he was awarded swords. Awarding 1st class knights with swords is about 150 pieces.
Golden Cross in Maltese uniform. Through the center pass 2 gold, made on one side, crossed swords, superimposing rhombuses between the cross sleeves on the front side. On the upper cruciform shoulder between the peaks there is a segment to which a movable golden crown is attached. A ribbon ring passes through the imperial apple.
Front side:
- Cruciform hands are sheathed in gold and covered with green glaze with translucent shading.
In the - corners of the crosspiece are red glazed rhombuses with gold ornamented tips and gold edges.
- There is also hatching under the red glass enamel.
Suspended in the - center is a white enameled and gold falcon, with its head facing left.
Downside:
