The crown for the home order for all classes was established on April 29, 1901 by Duke Frederick I. The occasion was the 70th birthday of the duke. Initially, merit medals were excluded from the fund. The Crown was awarded for special services. The crown could be awarded with the sign of the order or subsequently to the existing order. The Medal of Merit was established on August 19, 1904 for the 48th anniversary of Duke Frederick II. When awarded a higher class, in this case the Grand Cross, the badge with the crown continued to be worn. The size varies at the crown from 22 to 25 mm in height and from 28 to 30 mm in width. Awarding, as a rule, was carried out by citizens at retirement. Commanders 1. The class with the crown that received a large cross had to abandon the breast star and, thus, outwardly became the commander of the 2nd class. The 1st class crown was awarded only 10 times, and the 2nd class - only 20 times. The manufacture of crowns is attributed to Godet. Thus, the order is very rare in the system of Anhalt orders.
