By updated statutes of February 24, 1850, commanders in the 1st and 2nd were appointed. The class is divided. The commanders of the 1st class, in addition to the order badge, were awarded a breastplate, worn in the center on the left chest. The breast star was worn uniformly to all commander's signs, even with attributes. That is, commanders 1. The class with swords, with crown and with swords and crown wore the same chest star. The stars were made primarily by Godet & Sohn in Berlin. Who provided the project is unknown. When the commander was promoted, the breastplate was assigned to the existing commander's badge. The number of stars is about 500. The return and rewarding obligation involves about 200 manufactured breast stars. Since 1904, commanders became known as commanders. In 1912, 126 owners were registered, of which 6 were Crown Comtours. The order was established by the Dukes Henry of Anhalt-Kötensky (1830-1847), Leopold Friedrich of Anhalt-Dessau (1817-1871) and Alexander Karl of Anhalt-Bernburg (1834-1863). As it was said, the order was awarded for loyalty and devotion, talents and legitimate official activities. The classes of the order were originally: a large cross, commander, knight, gold and silver medals for merit.
