Awards of Germany - Princely House Order of Hohenzollern - Silver Cross of Merit 1910

The princely house order of Hohenzollern was established jointly by princes Konstantin Hohenzollern Hechingen and Karl Anton Hohenzollern Sigmaringen. The order initially consisted of 4 classes, an honorary cross of the 1st degree. class, 2 classes, as well as a gold medal of honor and a silver medal "For Merit." In 1844, the honorary cross of the 3rd class was added. Since 1852, the order was reorganized. Various additions were made in subsequent years. In 1866, swords were established for military merit. In 1891, the Comtur Cross of Honour was established between Cross of Honour 1 and 2. The class stands. In 1910, Prince Wilhelm, with the approval of the secret civil cabinet of Emperor Wilhelm II, established a crown for the honorary cross of the 3rd class and the Golden and Silver Cross for merit. They took a place between the honorary cross of the 3rd class and the gold medal of honor. After 1918, the award continued only sparingly until 1935, when eligibility ceased. The order was adopted in 1935 as the home order of the Romanian royal house and was subsequently borrowed. In 1941, Prince Friedrich again expanded the order. Hollow silver cross. Crosses are finely granular and rounded at the ends. Lying inside on cruciform shoulders at a distance from the edge is a wide, raised, smooth silver stripe. Front and back with worn, round, silver middle shields. Between the cruciform sleeves around the circumference is a silver wreath of right oak foliage and left laurel foliage. (Front side) On the upper cruciform sleeve, a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.

• Below 2 tied branches of the right oak foliage of the left laurel foliage.
