Undated Duke Ernst Gunther Memorial Medal
Undated Duke Ernst Gunther Memorial Medal
- Material: Bronze gilded
- Size: 36mm
- Weight: about 35g in silver
180 - 200 € silver
This medal was probably donated in honor of the 50th anniversary of Duke Ernst Gunther on August 11, 1913, along with a commemorative medal for the 50th anniversary of his birth. Since Duke Ernst Günther could no longer participate in the government in Schleswig-Holstein, since 1866 the duchies have been a Prussian province, the medal is not an official foundation. This medal was awarded or received primarily by officials and employees of the then Fidean rule of Primkenau in Silesia. Whether this medal was spent for general merit for the benefit of the exiled duke is unknown.
Medals in silver and bronze were issued gilded.
Round medal made of gilded bronze with a border. Above is a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
