This form of rewarding non-commissioned officers and soldiers was introduced for the entire state of Anhalt on 6 April 1870 by Duke Leopold IV. donated. After the military convention with Prussia in 1867, the former service awards of Anhalt-Dessau-Köthen continued to be awarded after 12 and 20 years. In Anhalt-Dessau-Köthen, service awards were established on February 1, 1848, and in 1864 transferred to the entire state. But they could only be awarded to citizens. Thus, Prussian non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving in Infantry Regiment No. 93 could not be awarded. Thus, statutes and service awards were adapted according to the Prussian model. Now 3 classes were awarded after 21, 15 and 9 years. The 1st class was made of gilt silver, the 2nd class (shown here) was made of silver, and the 3rd class was an iron buckle with a silver frame worn. A notable manufacturer of braces was Sy and Wagner of Berlin. Source: Gerd Scharfenberg, Order and Badge of Honor of the Anhalt States, 1999.
