Germany Awards - Bronze No.

The badge "For military operations in tanks" was originally awarded in silver to tank soldiers who on 3 different days participated in hostilities on December 20, 1939, Colonel General Walter von Brauchitsch, Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces. Bronze was established only on June 1, 1940 for the rest of the troops subordinate to tank units, such as tank grenadier units, shooter-crackers or tank scouts, but did not qualify for a silver award. When fulfilling the same requirements, the sign was awarded in bronze. Later, the badge was awarded by division commanders, as well as battalion commanders. The number of awards in silver is about 22,000, and bronze is about 12,500. On June 22, 1943, the sign originally donated in one stage was expanded with bet numbers in 5 stages. Levels were no bid number, 25, 50, 75 and 100 bids. There were betting figures for both silver and bronze badges. Prices vary depending on the amount of work. Source: J. Highly oval, openwork badge, zinc bronzed. Rear vertical pin and manufacturer designation.

Front side:

• The edge will lie on oak leaves from an oval ring connected below.
• Medium tank moving to the right. On the right, the chain overlaps and goes beyond the edge.
• Above is the emblem of the army (an eagle with lowered wings in the paws of a swastika).

Downside:

• Without a manufacturer, but a well-known variant of Steinhauer & Luck.
• Vertical pin.
