The Heeres-Flack sign was established by Walter von Brauchitsch on July 18, 1941. The badge was intended for Flack's companies and light batteries of army artillery, as well as heavy batteries of artillery. A prerequisite was proof of at least 5 rounds by the same platoon or battle battery. The sign was received by all servicemen of the platoon or battery who participated in the executions. Later, the award was made dependent on the achievement of 16 points. There were points for capturing enemy aircraft, shooting and excellent individual performance. The author of the project is Ernst Pickhouse. A well-known manufacturer is C.E. Juncker.
