Iron Cross 1. The class was dropped by the Berlin Department Store for the Army and Navy, an office of the German Officers' Union. There it was possible to get high-quality deuces and spare parts of awards. The German officer union did not make its own orders and badges of honor. Exiled copies were produced by well-known manufacturers and distributed under the name of the Officers' Club. In 1889, the club house of the German Officer Union was opened. In 1893, a store opened for the Army and Navy. This served to supply the troops stationed in Berlin with equipment, clothing, food, as well as rewards that could be purchased. Until 1934, the building still belonged to the officers' association. After that, the owner was the German Day of Craft and Craft Chambers. After World War II, the building was used by the GDR for the GDR Craft Chamber until 1975. From 1977 to 2008, the United States used the building as an embassy in the GDR. Today it is used by the federal government and is on Neustädtische Kirchstrasse 4-5, Mittelstrasse 26-27 and Dorotheenstrasse 69 in central Berlin.
Emperor and King William II. Established the Iron Cross for World War I on August 5, 1914. The renewal of the Iron Cross in World War I consists of the 3rd class of the Grand Cross, 1st class and 2nd class. In 1918, Field Marshal Paul von Beneckendorf and Hindenburg as special uniforms were awarded the Star of the Iron Cross with Gold Rays. The reason was the successful spring offensive against France. The Iron Cross was "reburied" until 1924. This concerned, in particular, prisoners of war, unfulfilled petitions from the war and subsequent petitions. The deadline for applications was set for 31.05.1924.
Purchased items were offered by many manufacturers until the 1930s.
The slightly domed cross consists of silver edging and silver reverse, the latter soldered. The front part of the coffin has a raised, located inside, 2-step edge, from which the inner edge is shaded with a semicircular and small transverse stroke. Between them is an inner cross of blackened iron (magnetic). The reverse is smooth silver with a threaded pin and a screw washer with a mating plate. The manufacturer is located on the washer nut with earrings.
