This clasp was presented on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the union to Queen Louise, also known as Luisenbund, and issued to members who had served in the union for 10 years. Braces from embossed, silver-plated sheet and mass-made silver braces are known. Enameled braces also occur, but do not meet official requirements and should be considered as private productions. Various sheet metal or silver products were probably consumed depending on the financial capabilities of the members. It can be assumed that the braces themselves had to be paid for.
The Queen Louise Union was founded in 1923 and named after Queen Louise consort Friedrich Wilhelm III. Prussia. She was highly revered by the people after her early death and her role in the liberation wars against Napoleon. The union was monarchically and conservatively oriented and was close to the DNVP (German National People's Party). The goals were the education of girls and women according to the monarchical model, sacrifice and devotion (like the queen), as well as charitable goals. Political goals were part of the program and an expression of reactionary direction. Despite the fact that the Bund was close to Queen Louise to the front-line union Steel Helmet, it is not a women's organization of the same. It was a women's steel helmet. The federal leader was Marie Netz, who was succeeded by lady-in-waiting von Hadeln in 1932. The number of 1933 is estimated at 200 thousand people. The Union supported the House of Hohenzollern. The patroness was Crown Princess Cecilia of Prussia, nee Mecklenburg. The Children's Circle was the children's organization of Louise's Union. After the National Socialists came to power, the Bund lasted until 1934, and then broke up.
