The badge "For Achievements and Championship" of the German Imperial Union for exercise was established by the Reichsportführer of Chammer and Osten. From 12 December 1938 it was renamed the National Socialist Imperial Exercise Union (NSRL). It was presented in gold, silver and bronze. It was awarded for sporting achievements or successful participation in competitions. In gold (championship badges), it was worn by German masters as individual athletes and teams. A silver badge was awarded to athletes who either participated in the final bout or final match of the German Championship or represented Germany several times in national competitions. The bronze badge was awarded for fulfilling certain requirements in one sport. If the requirement was reached 4 times, a badge without a year number was awarded. At the same time, a fabric version was worn. The badges had a corresponding year of acquisition on the bottom wreath. Needles without a year number were awarded according to the above procedures.
