Germany Awards - 1938 Imperial Professional Circuit Winner

The imperial professional competitions were started in 1933 by the Imperial Youth Leadership and the German Labor Front. In 1934, the first competitions took place. At first they were held by the German Labour Front and the Hitler Youth (HJ) for young people only. Competitions were staggered in levels, local competitions, district competitions, gau competitions and, finally, imperial competitions. It was divided into about 20 academic professions, since 1935 students have joined them. In 1938, adult participation was allowed. Signs were awarded in 3 stages. Bronze colors for circle winners, silver for Gau winners and gold plated for Reich winners, each can also be recognized by the top curved font on the badge. Professional practice, theory, as well as worldview knowledge were tested in competitions. In addition, the girls took a home economics exam. The winners received recognition and the best opportunities in the profession. The winners of the Reich were presented to Adolf Hitler on May 1.
