The star "Badge of Honor" presented here is the second highest level of the Badge of Honor of the German Red Cross after the 1st grade on the sash since 1934. However, the 1st class on the collar as the third tier can only be in connection with the bandage or collar as the 1st or 3rd, respectively. The stage is identified because the size is the same. Other steps were the Cross of Merit as a plug cross, the badge of honor on the ribbon (2nd grade) and the female cross on the female loop. For many years of activity in the DRC, it was necessary to continue to issue insignia in the form of medals for 10, 25 and 40 years of service. These medals were no longer awarded. After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, all associations and clubs were equated with National Socialist organizations and subordinated to them. Until now, the awarded honorary badges of land and membership unions could not be awarded from December 31, 1934. The badge of honor of the German Red Cross, awarded since 1924, was replaced by this form in 1934. It was presented on 30 January 1934 by Duke Carl Edward of Saxony to Coburg-Gotha with the consent of Reich President Hindenburg. The only manufacturer is Gebr. Godet & Co. in Berlin. The star is very rare.
Four-beam star made of silver. A silver gilded and enamelled merit cross was laid. Single rays are smooth with a cord border. 13 intermediate beams are uniformly distributed between 4 main beams. The back is slightly curved and smooth. Vertically - a pin with a reciprocal hook. On the needle manufacturers.
