Reichsführer TeNo, police lieutenant general and gruppenführer SA Weirich established the Badge of Honor for emergency technical assistance on April 2, 1935. It was awarded only to those members of the Emergency Technical Assistance that took place between 1919 and 1923 and were permanent members. They had to act in time. The year on the badge of honor shows the year of admission. They were awarded honorary signs with the numbers of the year - 1919 -, - 1920 -, - 1921 -, - 1922 - and - 1923 -. Awarding was made at the request, with a certificate. Expense numbers are stamped on the back. These are not just numbers in the truest sense of the word. Award lists are kept in chronological order or alphabetical order after applications are received and do not provide any information on the order of entry into emergency technical assistance. The badge of honor was to be purchased for 1.50 RM. The second copies cost 3.00 RM and received a new number. The matrix number was again fixed together with the document and the record in the documents.
On June 1, 1936, the wearing of TeNo service uniforms was banned. Instead, annual bracelets were released. In 1944, for the 25th time, the insignia was recognized as the "Marks of Fidelity" and from now on could wear any uniform and civilian clothes. In total, more than 3,700 honorary badges were awarded. As a manufacturer, only Wilhelm Füner of Pforzheim is known.
