This badge of honor was established or established in 1926 by the Württemberg Charitable Union. It was awarded to female servants who served conscientiously and without charges for at least 10 years. Crucial to the foundation was that the number of female servants who could meet the strict requirements for awarding silver and gold badges of honor would likely decline significantly in the near future. The 3rd grade badge of honor was supposed to fill this gap, as well as give a visible sign of recognition to these maids. The production was probably carried out by Mayer & Wilhelm in Stuttgart. After the National Socialists came to power and subsequent equalization of rights, this badge of honor was also banned, and the awarding finally ceased. Due to the short period of appropriation, honor badges are relatively rare. Source: W. Klein and A. Ruff, Württemberg Medals 1864-1933, including orders and badges of honor. Stuttgart 2010.
