German Awards - World War II "German Army

Army is the name of the Army's ground forces. Initially, the army consisted only of infantry (infantry troops) and cavalry (horse troops). Due to the development of new weapons and weapons systems, the army expanded due to artillery (gun troops), tank troops, anti-aircraft troops, airborne units, sapper troops, communications units, as well as rear support units. The so-called standing army consists of professional soldiers and conscripts who, in case of defense or war, are reinforced by reserve troops.
The commander in chief of the ground forces from 1935 to 1938 was Werner von Fritsch (22.09.39 fell near Warsaw), who was replaced in 1938 by Walter von Brauchitsch.

Descriptions and images of orders serve only civic education and reflect anti-constitutional and anti-constitutional aspirations, scientific and art studies according to § 86 and 86a.
